scrappy trips blocks 41 through 45

 Continuing on with showing my blocks for my scrappy trip around the world quilt....
I am mixing up Sandy Gervais fabric lines in each block now instead of keeping each block in the same fabric line as I did at the beginning............

scrappy trips blocks 36 through 40

 I am working on blocks for my scrappy trip around the world quilt.....
Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville has the directions for this...

I added a strip of Flirtations by Sandy Gervais to the previous block...

 Then by accident I mixed the Lollipop and Pumpkins Gone Wild together in the same block...
I had them in a box together and forgot I had done that...but it is okay...more scrappy..

 So I will probably do more mixtures of blocks.....

If you haven't started one of these....you better get at it....it is fun!!

 I am over halfway done now with the scrappy trips blocks for the quilt I am making....
these 5 photos are from jelly roll L'amour by Sandy Gervais...

One of these days I will try to put some of the blocks together to check layout options....

scrappy trips blocks 23 through 30

 I am having fun with my blocks for my scrappy trip around the world quilt....
the first three photos are Pumpkins Gone Wild...........

 the next four photos are zippity doo dah............

  I opened up another jelly roll for more blocks....
Since I am using all jelly rolls by Sandy Gervais....
I have started using L'amour by Sandy Gervais...........
I am using the jelly rolls I have purchased over the past years with no purpose of how I was going to use them...purchased only because I liked them!!

 Here is the first block with that fabric....
I have been putting all my dark blocks in the #6 position in the strip sets...
So some of the blocks will be flipped the other way...this one will be one that is flipped...

I almost have half of the blocks done for the quilt!!...
I am totally loving all of it.......choosing the fabrics to be together for strip sets and sewing them together and cutting them apart and then sewing them together into blocks!!
I know there are some of you who haven't done these blocks yet and want to do them....
SOOOOOOOO come on and join in!

Rancher's Daughter Quilt Along first block

John'aLee at the scrappy appleyard is having a quilt along....

I decided to use this bundle of Once Upon a Christmas by Susan Winget in the blocks....

There is something about a bundle of fabric that you just have to love...
It was hard taking it apart..............crazy I know....

Trying out the center block and the first piece I chose was too dark...

I did a fussy cut of a poinsetta.....

So the first block is done and I am adding this to her linky party blog post....

 Scrappy trips around the world blocks......red, white and bold by Sandy Gervais....

And this block is Lollipop by Sandy Gervais............
I should be able to get 12 or 13 blocks out of each jelly roll.......
